OSBA is volunteer-led. Parents stepping up as coaches, timekeepers, and scorekeepers is what keeps registration fees among the most affordable in the region.
Honoraria are a token of appreciation for the time head and assistant coaches give each season. OSBA also relies on parent volunteers each game for timekeeping and scorekeeping — please consider helping out even if you're not coaching.
Components that run alongside the programs above. Competitive Tryouts are required for any player pursuing Competitive; Pre-Season Tune-Up is optional and open to all.
Separate $35 non-refundable registration. Any player who wants to be considered for a Competitive team must register and attend in their age division.

Trying out for Competitive? If your player gets a team offer, their House League fee transfers to their Competitive registration — no double payment. Competitive placement is by offer only, after Tryouts.
A welcoming first step into basketball for our youngest players. Two streams: a weeknight community-led session and a weekend skills offering being finalized with a contracted training partner.

Coach-led, parent-assisted skill building for young players. No tryouts — every interested player is welcome through structured weekly sessions.

Recreational basketball with no tryouts. After sort-out sessions to balance teams, players run a full season of weekly practices and weekend games against local clubs.

For players selected through tryouts to represent OSBA in the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association. Higher-level training, regional travel, and divisional competition from October through May.
Community basketball for OSBA alumni and coaches. Weekly Saturday scrimmage-style sessions run by a senior alumni coach — no tryouts.

OSBA is recruiting junior officials to be trained and officiate U12 and U14 games, in partnership with EOBA and the Nepean BlueDevils.
OSBA follows standard youth basketball sizing. Use this as a starting guide when shopping for a ball, then confirm with your coach or program lead — sizing may vary slightly by program.
