U10 Development Program — covers Introduction, Advanced, Girls, and Competitive streams$310
Ontario Basketball Association insurance fee$9
Total — U10 Development$319
A $9 OBA insurance fee applies to all U10 Development registrations and is added at checkout. One flat fee covers all U10 streams — Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Other Ontario Basketball Association membership fees do not apply.

Session Calendar — 20 sessions per stream

Sessions run from the week of September 28, 2026 through early March 2027. Thanksgiving, the Christmas break (Dec 19, 2026 – Jan 3, 2027), Family Day, March Break, Easter, and school-board PD / closure days are skipped. Expand a stream below to see every session date.

Heads-up: from time to time a school board may cancel a scheduled session at short notice for a school priority (assemblies, board events, or unplanned closures). When that happens, additional dates will be added in March 2027 so every stream still delivers its full 20 sessions.

U10 Girls — format depends on registration numbers. If 10 or more girls register, a dedicated U10 Girls session runs Thursdays 6:30–8:00 PM at Michel Dupuis. If fewer than 10 girls register, those players are welcomed into the existing co-ed sessions across the Introduction, Advanced, and Competitive streams alongside the boys. Either way every registered U10 girl gets a spot — the format flexes to fit the cohort.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Quick answers to common questions. Tap any to expand.

02What are the four OSBA registration pathways?

OSBA offers four pathways: Small Ball, U10 Development, House League / Recreational, and Competitive.

03How do age groups work?

Age groups are based on the year the player turns that age. U10 covers players aged 8–10 during the 2026/2027 season (born in 2016, 2017, or 2018).

04Is my child the right age for U10 Development?

U10 Development is designed for players born in 2016, 2017, or 2018.

05Is there a waitlist? How do I get notified about next season?

Yes — if a stream is sold out, email gm@ottawasouthbasketball.ca with your child's name and preferred night. We maintain a manual waitlist and contact families in order as spots open. Returning families also receive next-season opening dates by email.

Still have questions? Contact the OSBA registrar — we're happy to help walk you through any step of the registration process.
